ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS:

Sheikha Maryam Kabeer

Sheikha Maryam is a Sufi mystic and a frequent speaker at interfaith gatherings. She was born to a liberal Jewish family in Hollywood, California, but she felt led to begin a deep spiritual quest in her teens. Her search took her to Northern California, New Mexico, India and Nepal, and later to Christian monasteries in Europe where she lived for a time.

Her journey to the holy places and people around the earth, including much time in Africa, led her to the deep truth that all lives are totally interconnected and united with our own. The core of her message is that the people of the earth are one and that they cannot truly be separated by racial, national, or cultural distinctions. She believes the peace, love and mercy of the Divine are meant for all.

Sheikha Maryam presently lives in Philadelphia. She carries on the legacy of Sufi Master Bawa Muhaiyaddeen at the Fellowship that bears his name (https://www.bmf.org/), and her home is a center of teaching and place of refuge for spiritual travelers.

New Year's Eve Polar Pond Plunge!

On Giving Tuesday, the LHAH board pledged to jump into this icy pond at Sticks and Stones Farm if we hit certain fundraising goals. President and founder Bill Donaldson hit his goal but is looking for a few friends and supporters to join in on the fun!

We are still looking to raise $10,000 before year-end to help us on our journey to acquire and preserve the magic of Sticks and Stones. We are in the process of seeking zoning approval which is the first of many steps along the way. If you are passionate about saving this community gem, please consider joining the cause, getting pledges of support, and taking the plunge! Or you can just donate and stay warm and dry. :-)

To learn more about this campaign and to make a donation, please click HERE. You can send the donation link to anyone you think would support us in this mission.

For any questions please contact Bill Donaldson at 203-915-0718.
